Dr. Mary was instrumental in changing the way children diagnosed as on the autism spectrum were classified in the Ohio healthcare system. This opened up pathways and options for new evidence-based therapies that had been previously unavailable to families trying to navigate this world.
Upon her passing in 2004, Dr. Mary established this trust to continue funding organizations that provide innovative, evidence-based therapy and services to kids with autism, focusing on where the greatest need or gap in services is at that time.
